Mickey's Cornfield
Location of Jack Lindquist's great marketing idea

One of the great marketing ideas of Jack Lindquist was developed for Mickey Mouse's 60th birthday - Mickey's Cornfield. Since I read about it in his book In Service To The Mouse I was wondering where it was located.

From the articles below I was able to narrow my search to an area near the towns of Sheffield, Dougherty and Rockwell, Iowa. Based on the statement "northeast of Sheffield" and searching for a field matching an aerial image found in this article Jack of all Trades - Jack Lindquist Interview I finally was able to locate the field Mickey's head once was planted with corn and oat. Note the specific alignment of the four farms adjacent to the field and the trench running through the lower right corner of the aerial image.
