He had several jobs around the Studio over the next few years (including Production Coordinator of Military Educational Films during WWII), and during this period developed a deep interest in audio-visual education, seeing Disney’s potential in this new area. He started working with educational films in 1944, and in the 1950s headed the Studio’s 16mm Division. In 1969, Disney formed the Walt Disney Educational Materials Co., and Carl was named president.
