Walt Disney comes to the Valley

San Fernando Valley - Home of the Wall Disney studios! There’s a statement thrilling to all residents of the Valley, and one that will become a reality about the first of the year, when the whole Disney organization will move into the new million dollar plant now being built on a fifty-one acre tract between Riverside and Alameda, in Burbank.

It’s fun for the kids of the Valley to look at the beautiful group of buildings and know them as the home of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and all their intimitable playmates. And it is a source of pride to older residents of this section that the ideal living and working conditions of the Valley were recognized by the executives of this great institution.

Disney will bring with him an organization now numbering one thousand people, and growing rapidly. These are young people, all of them-artistic, greatly skilled, enthusiastic and interesting. Could a more attractive addition to the life of a community be imagined?

He brings a business that has grown to world-wide proportions during the amazing period of a little more than a dozen years. It is a business whose products are translated into almost all the languages on the globe and are contributing to the daily pleasure and joy of living of people of all ages in every clime. The thought that so much happiness and good cheer for all the world is to be manufactured right here in our Valley can't help but bring a thrill to all of us, and we all join in a “Hearty Welcome" to Walt and his helpers.
