Feature director Wilfred Jackson, among Walt Disney’s first employees (# 13), gave few interviews. But he was good friends with my father, and he had a wealth of experience at Walt Disney Productions, and when I called him at his Balboa Island home in Newport Beach in 1978, he was happy to talk about his work as sequence director on “Snow White” and “Pinocchio”. (He was a shorts and feature director at WDP from the early Hyperion days through “Lady and the Tramp”, when he stopped working full-time at the studio due to health reasons.
