Bob Thomas: Bambi was kind of a problem picture to try to capture natural animals.
Marc Davis: Yeah it was, and still make them work within the animation medium. I think this was the big problem. Also, to be able to understand movement. A number of things took place there that were very interesting. There was a naturalist who, I think, was from Pasadena and also had a huge home up in Ojai, a fellow by the name of [garbled]. He loaned a tremendous amount of photographs to us that were taken with the animal tripping the shutter on a camera.
