Monsanto's "House Of Tomorrow" Will Investigate Uses Of Plastics In Home Construction

Two new formulations highlighted General Electric Co.'s exhibit of its line of phenolic molding compounds. Nearly 100 practical applications of vinyl plastics were shown by B. F. Goodrich Chemical Co. in their "House of Today,' a full-scale cut-away showing a living room, kitchen, utility room, patio, and section of the "house next door." A scale model of the "House of Tomorrow" was featured in the Monsanto Chemical Co. exhibit; this house will demonstrate and test the uses of plastics in home construction, and the first house will be built early next year in the Tomorrowland area of Disneyland, Anaheim, Calif.
