A Hewlett-Packard 9826A microcomputer helped create the pulsating electronic images that chase each other through the netherworld of computer inner space, in the 1982 movie hit, "Tron.

A spokesman for Walt Disney Productions said the computer helped reduce the time involved in producing animated figures from several weeks to only few days. The movie has attracted huge crowds since its opening last year. Another Walt Disney character supervises keying-in of animation parameters, seemingly cautioning operator not to "Goofey around.
