Abstract:
Walt Disney World constructed and operates all utility systems within its property. Particularly unique systems include AVAC, which is a pneumatic solid waste collection system, generation of electricity using aircraft-type jet engines, high temperature hot water and chilled water derived from the waste heat of the jet engines, utilidors throughout the high density area of Theme Park for utility mains, Neyerpic gates to automatically regulate water levels in canals and lakes, and sewage effluent disposal on a tree farm.
