Edna Francis Disney, Roy O. Disney’s wife, was born to pioneer parents in Reece, Kansas on January 16, 1890. At an early age Mrs. Disney moved with her family to Kansas City, where she lived in the same neighborhood as her future husband and his younger brother, Walt Disney. Edna met Roy in Kansas City through her younger brother, Mitchell, who had been in the Navy with Roy and worked at the same bank (First National Bank of Kansas City) where Roy was also employed.
