Christopher Finch & Linda Rosenkrantz: Can I start off by asking you what attracted you to animation in the first place?
Milt Kahl: I had seen Three Little Pigs. I came here in ’34 and I was not really particularly attracted to animation. I enjoyed it but I hadn’t thought about being involved with it. It never entered my head. I was a commercial artist in San Francisco, and Ham Luske, who died just a few years ago, had worked with me on the Oakland Post Enquirer when I was about 16 and he was about 18.
