Born on January 17, 1913, in San Francisco, California, Claude graduated from the University of Southern California, in 1934, with an architecture and fine arts degree. He began his career with Disney in June 1935 after earning a B.A. degree in architecture and fine arts from USC and studying at the Chouinard Art Institute.
