Convention Center and Hotel, Euro-Disney
Marne-la-Vallèe, 1992-
Brad Collins, Diane Kasprowicz

The Convention Center and Hotel is the largest single building project to date at Euro-Disney. The 750-room Convention Hotel with restaurants, meeting facilities, and health spa has direct access to a 300,000-square-foot multidimensional Convention Center with a 2,000-seat industrial theater, exhibition pavilion, ballrooms, lecture theater, meeting rooms, and full food-service facilities.

Located at the entrance to the complex, the building consciously rejects the decorated-box theme of the existing hotels and is perceived instead as a collection of forms, silhouettes, and facades expressing the relationship between exterior form and interior volume. The sequential ordering and integration of exterior spaces, transitions, and circulation organizes the interior and articulates a constantly varying silhouette and massing.
