Ben Sharpsteen
Dave Smith
When you study the career of the most prominent Disney artists, you soon realize that some of them deserved the name “Walt’s people” more than others. They are the artists whose whole careers were shaped by Walt; men like Ken Anderson, Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston, John Hench, Bill Walsh, Roy Williams, and a few others. With a 33-year career at Disney that took him from animation on the shorts to producing the True-Life Adventures, Ben Sharpsteen was unquestionably another of these artists.
