After almost five years in various stages at gestation, with a shift from the Disney formula, the most ambitious film the studio has made
Ron Miller, Producer of THE BLACK HOLE, started at Disney Studios in 1957 as a second assistant director and a dozen years later became the studio's executive producer.
In 1976, he was elected the company's executive vice president in charge of production and creative affairs. He supervises all film and TV production and is a member at the board of directors and the three-man executive committee. He was an associate producer on the Sunday night TV shows and on several features before becoming a co-producer.
His first movie with full producer credit was NEVER A DULL MOMENT, which has been followed by a steady succession of films, the most recent of which include THE RESCUERS, PETE'S DRAGON, HOT LEAD AND COLD FEET, THE CAT FROM OUTER SPACE, UNIDENTIFIED FLYING ODDBALL, THE APPLE DUMPLING GANG RIDES AGAIN and THE BLACK HOLE.
