Bounce and Bonanzas by Walt Disney
A flivver in flubberized flight, made possible by an absent-minded professor's discovery of the Law of Repulsive Attraction, is the latest whigmaleerie from Walt Disney's workshop of whimsy although there is no end to what the man is up to. Besides The Absent-Minded Professor he has a suspense-filled cartoon feature about a spotted-pelt-loving dognaper, Cruella De Vil, and a lot of dogs with English accents. This is called One Hundred and One Dalmatians and is delighting eggheads and cornballs. Disney also has The Swiss Family Robinson (LIFE, Jan. 20), which is about an island inhabited by puffing pirates, cute children, lovely wild animals and slimy snakes. And soon to mom are two views of Hayley Mills as a pert set of twins in The Parent Trap. They are all fun and Disney never had a tighter grip on the national box office. The most bounce comes in The Absent Minded Professor, played by Fred MacMurray, who is forever forgetting to show up for his own wedding.
